Students Volunteer at Catholic Charities Shelter

December 12, 2018

On November 20, the 19 students in ENG 233 Environmental Literature volunteered for an hour at Catholic Charities Emergency Family Shelter. They worked on organizing games, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and steaming floors, sorting donations, and picking up around the yard and play area. This work gave the 31 guests of the shelter a much-needed respite from their own duties that evening, and for the first time the guests took a night off! Great job, students!
