About

Jil Hus is a native of Northwest Indiana and an alumni of Purdue University Northwest, earning her Masters' of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Currently, Ms. Hus is a doctoral student, of ABD status, at Walden University, pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. As a licensed mental health counselor for the state of Indiana, Ms. Hus is also a board certified counselor and approved clinical supervisor. Jil's academia experience includes teaching, supervision, and committee service at the college level in the role of adjunct and visiting instructor. Her professional career outside academia includes her clinical work at a private practice where she facilitates individual, couple, and family therapy sessions. Her research interests include the use of creativity in counseling and counselor education as well as professional identity development in counseling students.
