Immigrant Iowan Scholarship Community Leader, High School Counselor or Teacher Reference Form

The Grand View Immigrant Iowan Scholarship is designed to bring a significant educational opportunity to a promising non-native Iowan. This scholarship covers full tuition, room charges, plus the following fees: technology, student activity and resident activity fees if a student lives on campus. Commuter students may receive the maximum Grand View aid amount for commuters in addition to state or federal grants they are eligible for. This maximum amount of GV aid a commuter student can receive for 2024-25 is $22,500. For an outstanding incoming freshman who meets these qualifications:

  • Born of immigrant parents or an immigrant himself or herself
  • Graduating from an Iowa high school
  • High school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Not in the U.S. on a student visa
  • Have demonstrated financial need

The scholarship is renewable for up to four years if the recipient meets these requirements:

  • Serve as a Grand View Multicultural Ambassador
  • Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA at Grand View
