FLOW artist talk by Wayne RoosePlease join the Art department Thursday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Prairie Meadows Art Gallery in the Rasmussen Center for an artist talk with Minnesota artist Wayne Roosa to hear him discuss his work, ideas, and process. This is a great opportunity to support, hear, and ask questions.

FLOW, a solo exhibition from Minnesota artist Wayne Roosa, opened August 31 and will run through October 2. The exhibition features large ink drawings, each made through the active flow of ink in water orchestrated by the artist’s balancing of control and release, intention and accident. Each drawing is a moment paused, an Emanation suspended on paper. They are not pictures of anything. They are more like traces sharing in the living matrix of everything. Including ourselves as thinking, feeling beings who belong to the great and mysterious Logos of meaning. All of this is a kind of cosmic “drawing,” majestic and delicate, woven and powerful. No wonder we think of all Being as a great dance.
