WYRD is an Anglo-Saxon concept aligned with "what happens, fate, or fortune." Meanings point towards the shaping of one's own personal destiny. The Modern English word "weird" descends from "wyrd."

WYRD is an exhibition with former GVU Art & Design professor Mary Jones and Grand View Art alum Jolynn (Anderson) Reigeluth, and will be displayed in the Prairie Meadows Art Gallery from October 15 through November 20, with an Artist Talk on Thursday, October 15 from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m.
