Antle Attends AIPAC Conference in Washington, D.C.

March 19, 2018

Kendall Antle, Student Body President at Grand View, represented Grand View University at the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Conference in Washington, D.C., March 3-6.

The mission of AIPAC is to strengthen, protect, and to promote the United States-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of the United States and Israel.  A National Outreach Field Organizer reached out and invited Kendall to attend AIPAC and to represent the student body of Grand View University. This opportunity was made possible through the Geller Scholarship, as he was one of 300 elected student body presidents selected to attend on behalf of his respective student government association.

While on Capitol Hill, Kendall had the opportunity to meet with the following Iowa Congressional Members: Senator Joni Ernst, Congressman David Young, and Congressman Steve King. "This conference proved of immense value to me," Kendall says. "While attending the AIPAC Conference, I learned a lot about foreign policy and the State of Israel.  I also found ways to continue spreading this year's Global Vision Week message and theme - whether that occurred on Capitol Hill or at roundtables with fellow student body presidents.  As I continue to learn about new cultures and religions, I find it fascinating how we in fact have more in common than we do differ.  It is always an honor to represent Grand View University!"
