Biology Student Allyssa Angle Selected for WileyPLUS Grant
April 26, 2021
Congratulations to Allyssa Angle for receiving a $500 Wiley Stay the Course Grant. Allyssa is a current Biology student at Grand View. She was nominated by Dr. Adriana LaGier, Associate Professor of Biology.
LaGier says, "I nominated Allyssa because she plans to apply to GV’s Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. WileyPLUS was offering grants to help students progress beyond their undergraduate program. I thought this grant would be a great opportunity to help her accomplish her goal of attending graduate school."
Wiley Stay the Course Grants seek to support students so that they might persist in their college careers. As frontline witnesses to student challenges, they empower instructors and academic advisors to nominate students for these awards. Through a $100,000 contribution, Wiley provided $500 each to 200 students selected from the pool of nominations. The 2021 nomination period closed on closed in March 31, 2021 and selected recipients were notified early April. More information can be found here.
