Community Garden Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

April 30, 2018

Join us for the Grand View University Community Garden Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, May 3 at 11:30 a.m. at 1322 Boyd Street. Parking is available at the parking lots across the street.

Beginning in 2018 Grand View has dedicated undeveloped land near campus for anyone in the Greater Des Moines area to garden for just $25 per year.  At the ribbon cutting President Henning will officially kick off planting season. There will be refreshments served.

The Grand View Community Garden is an initiative of the Views Forward Project, Grand View’s effort to meet the needs of our neighbors on the east side of Des Moines and expand opportunities for our students to serve, learn, and build ties to their neighbors. We would like to thank the United Way of Central Iowa and Eat Greater Des Moines for their generous support of this project.

We hope you can make it on May 3rd to see this wonderful project!
