First Annual Moses Project Wellness Retreat

Grand View’s Campus Ministry is proud to announce the successful completion of the first annual Moses Project Wellness Retreat.The Moses Project, housed at Grand View University, is a Lilly funded grant that focuses on helping rural pastors in the ELCA thrive in ministry. Pastors enjoyed accommodations at the Downtown Embassy Suites with programming focused on spiritual, social, emotional, and vocational well-being.
Highlights included sermons from Rev. Dr. Ken Jones, Professor of Theology and Religion, and Rev. Dr. Russ Lackey, James E. Rasmussen & Duane M. Skow Chair in Pastoral Excellence. Dr. Zeb Sullivan, Professor Kinesiology, led a session of Laugh Yoga. Professional development was provided by Kent Schornack, the Director of Leadership and Counseling. Programming and conference arrangements made by Dr. Trisha Wheelock and Jamie Lackey.
