Spring Happenings for Dr. Thomas Lecaque

Dr. Thomas Lecaque, Assistant Professor of History, has had a very busy March and April with his scholarship and teaching. Dr. Lecaque Skyped a lecture on the First Crusade to a class at Western Michigan University and another on power dynamics in modern American politics to his alma mater, the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.

Dr. Lecaque also presented “A Day Lenten Journey: What is Lent for Lutherans” with Pastor Mark Dixon at the Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center in Minneapolis, and gave a presentation entitled “The ‘Lost Cause’ and the ‘Beautiful Society’: Problematic Nostalgia in the Defeated Souths” at the Narrative & Nostalgia: The Crusades & American Civil War conference in Roanoke, Virginia.
