Moses Project's Virtual Kick-Off

August 19, 2020

Grand View’s Campus Ministry is proud to announce the successful completion of the Moses Project’s Virtual Kick-Off Event. Twenty pastors from eight states and four mentors joined Moses Project staff for the three day virtual event on Zoom. The pastors engaged in teaching sessions with Rev. Dr. Ken Jones of Grand View University and Rev. Dr. Richard Lischer of Duke University. Dr. Michael Elsbernd with Grand View’s Music Department directed worship services. In addition to teaching and worship, the pastors enjoyed Grand View swag and treats and a daily “mystery box” filled with surprise gifts and a devotion.

The Moses Project, housed at Grand View University, is a Lilly funded grant that focuses on helping rural pastors in the ELCA thrive in ministry.  2020-2021 is the second year of the project.
