New Members Elected to Board of Trustees

Three new members have joined the Grand View University Board of Trustees: Rev. Amy Current, Rowena Crosbie and Pat Wood.
Rev. Amy Current is a pastor in The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and has served the Southeastern Iowa Synod in the office of bishop since 2020. She is a graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, MN (B.A.) and Wartburg Theological Seminary (M.Div.).
Prior to her role as bishop, Current served as vice president for admissions and student services at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. She also served in various leadership roles at Wartburg including director for financial aid and stewardship formation, director for public communications, and interim director of the Center for Youth Ministries. Born and raised in North Dakota, Amy was honored to serve as pastor of Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church in Harwood, N.D., as pastor of Golden Ridge Lutheran Church, Fargo, N.D., and Congregational Lutheran United Church, Gardner, N.D.
Bishop Current serves on the boards of Grand View University, Lutheran Services in Iowa, and Unity Point Health - Des Moines. Bishop Current is married to Rev. Dr. Samuel Giere, who serves as professor of homiletics and biblical interpretation at Wartburg Theological Seminary. They have two children.
Rowena Crosbie is Founder and President of Tero International and co-author of, Your Invisible Toolbox: The Technological Ups and Interpersonal Downs of the Millennial Generation. Tero is headquartered in an 11,000 sq. ft. learning center in Des Moines, Iowa. The Tero Team includes 20 individuals. Tero is generous in its corporate giving including numerous youth scholarships, and dozens of complimentary and reduced-fee keynotes and workshops each year provided to non-profit and charitable organizations in the community.
Pat Wood assumed the position of Vice President, WW Finance and Chief Financial Officer, in April 2020. Pat began his Kemin career in 2013, in the North America Animal Nutrition & Health business, where he served as Finance Director. During this time, Pat made substantial contributions to sales reporting projects and various capital investments providing analysis and insight. In 2018 Pat joined the Kemin Nutrisurance (KN) Leadership team as the Vice President of Finance. In his time with KN he partnered with the regional and global leaders to optimize the Cost of Goods, focus on continuous improvement, and execute the strategic plan. In both business units Pat served as a point of contact and lead for due diligence and integration teams for the various acquisitions while leading the finance teams.
Pat holds a bachelor’s and a Master of Accountancy, both from the University of Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining Kemin, Pat worked for SmartyPig, a startup company where he had sole responsibility for the accounting and finance function, establishing internal controls, and reports and analysis for presentations to executives and the board of directors. Pat and his wife, Chelsey, have two children, son, Lennon, and daughter, Rowen.
