Pediatrics Class Donates to Blank Children's Hospital
December 13, 2018
The Pediatrics class in the Nursing Department was interested in doing a community service project this semester. As a group, they decided to buy toys for the children at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines. They checked their website to see if they were looking for donations and saw they accept toys for the kids. The group agreed that was a perfect way to give back around Christmas time! Each student brought at least one toy and delivered the toys to Blank as a group. On top of bringing toys, they also sent a Christmas card to a boy in Pennsylvania who wanted to see how many Christmas cards he could get while in the hospital with osteosarcoma.
Nice work, students!
