Professor Baba-Singhri, chairman of the Criminal Justice & Sociology Department at Grand View, has been elected Chairman of the Iowa Human Rights Commission on the Status of African Americans. He was appointed to the Commission by Governor Terry Branstadt of Iowa in 2016 to serve a 4-year term that will commence on May 1, 2018. He takes over from Clair Rudison.
