Residency in Iceland: Paul Brooke
February 21, 2017
Dr. Paul Brooke, Professor of English, was awarded a two-week residency in Southern Iceland (in Gullkistan) in June 2018. His project will be to write a new book featuring poems (exploring desolation and isolation) and photographs (using HDR, infrared, light painting and long exposure). He will also travel to remote islands to photograph sea birds (such as skuas, guillemots and eiders) including a puffin colony of 20,000.
