Students to Attend Biology Conference

Grand View students Kyle Boulanger (Biochemistry, Biology) and Nick Little (Psychology, Biology) will be presenting research performed with Dr. Idit Hazan in the National Association of Biology Teachers Conference in San Diego in November as part of the Mentored Undergraduate Research poster competition.

Kyle will be presenting a poster titled “Cloning and Sequencing of a Novel GAPC Gene in Nasturtium." Other authors on the paper are Kendall J. Antle, Bethany A. Bentley, Jordan D. Donels, Amanda N. Duplan, and Russell D. Greene. Nick will be presenting a poster titled “Cloning a Novel GAPC Gene in Foeniculum vulgare (Fennel)." Additional contributors to this work are Caden Doll, Dillon Kanne, Tabor Nunez, and Rylee Voss. 

These research experiences were gained as part of the Molecular Biology course every spring semester by the Biology department.
