Project Student Ready: Transforming Grand View University Grant

October 19, 2021

Grand View University is pleased to announce that Grand View has received a Federal Department of Education Title III grant entitled, “Project Student Ready: Transforming Grand View University.” This five-year grant totaling $2,242,894 will allow Grand View to expand work in several areas which will enhance students’ experiences, improve academic achievement, and remove barriers to students’ success. The project began October 1.

Grant Co-Directors Pamela Christoffers, Associate Vice President and Patricia Williams, Vice Provost, are excited about the expanded ways GV will be able to serve its students, They stated, “The grant provides an infusion of resources that will allow us to reimagine and redesign the first-year experience, enhance academic advising, increase capacity for data-informed decision-making, and provide additional ways of supporting students so more of them persist and receive a GV degree.  This grant is a huge win for Grand View and will position us to be ‘student ready’ for the next generation.”

The program helps eligible institutes of higher education to expand their capacity to serve low-income students by providing funds to improve and strengthen the academic quality, institutional management, and fiscal stability of eligible institutions.
