Research & Accomplishments
My research investigates and characterizes enzymes with mutagenesis that have roles in human disease. We combine biochemical, biophysical, and structural approaches to understand how mutations drive cellular function and contribute to disease. We also work on developing biochemical tools, such as Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET), Light-Induced Dimerization (LiD), and Chemical-Induced Dimerization (CiD), to characterize how the structural dynamic of proteins drives their functions.
Personal Interests
Outside of teaching and conducting research, my family and I enjoy raising farm animals, and goats are my favorite. Additionally, my family and I enjoy traveling to new places.
