Grand View Professors Speak and Present


Dr. Alec Zama, Assistant Professor of Business Administration, was the keynote speaker at the Leadership Iowa Luncheon on Friday, January 18.  Leadership Iowa is a leadership development program organized by the Iowa Association of Business and Industry Foundation where 40 leaders from across the state of Iowa participate in a year-long leadership development activities.  Zama’s speech was titled “American Democracy: An Immigrant’s Perspective”.  In his speech he discussed his experiences living in a communist society in a democracy and comparing and contrasting the two systems. 

Dr. Sergio Loch, Math & Computer Science Department Chair, gave a presentation based on his and co-authors' submitted research paper entitled "LINE - Linear algebra In New Environments" at the JMM - Joint Mathematical Societies Annual Conference held in San Diego, California January 8-13. Dr. Loch also had a Poster Presentation based on his and Co_PI NSF grant on "LINE - Linear algebra In New Environments" at the same conference.
