Dr. Samantha Williams Joins MSW program

The Grand View MSW program is pleased to announce the newest addition to the social work faculty team. Dr. Samantha Williams will be joining the MSW program in January 2026 and will teach online courses as well as face-to-face virtually. Dr. Williams holds a Ph.D. (2024), MSW (2015) and BSW (2012) from Troy University. Her social work experience includes HIV Care, Hospice, and social work education. Her research focuses on the role of social workers in the care of individuals with chronic and life-threatening sexually transmitted infections (STIs), co-morbid illnesses, end-of-life care, and related mental health challenges. She is a licensed master’s social worker in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia. Throughout her career, Dr. Williams has been recognized as the recipient of multiple grants and has contributed to the field through numerous publications. Samantha is married to her husband Devin and has three children Riley, Trey, and Ezekiel.
