Mystral Brunton Joins Grand View University Board of Trustees

Grand View University is pleased to announce the election of Mystral Brunton to its Board of Trustees. Approved during the Board's May 2026 meeting, Brunton will begin her term at the Board's October 2026 meeting.

Brunton serves as Vice President of Talent Management at Principal Financial Group, where she leads enterprise talent strategy, executive succession planning, leadership development, and culture initiatives that support long-term business performance.

A global talent strategist and senior human resources executive, Brunton brings more than 20 years of experience leading enterprise talent, organizational transformation, and workforce strategy across multinational organizations. Before joining Principal, she held senior leadership positions with Marsh McLennan and Mercer, leading global talent and inclusion strategies, executive development, and workforce transformation initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles with PMI, MetLife, JPMorgan Chase, and American International Group.

Brunton has lived and worked across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Asia, leading talent initiatives in more than 30 countries. Her expertise in aligning talent strategy with business transformation and developing inclusive leadership cultures will bring valuable perspective to Grand View's Board of Trustees.

She earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Psychology and Communications from the University of South Africa, graduating cum laude.
