Dr. Cathy Beck-Cross Appointed to Board of Directors for Children & Families of Iowa

Dr. Cathy Beck-Cross, Professor of Social Work and Director of Grand View University’s Master of Social Work program, has been approved for a three-year appointment to the Board of Directors for Children & Families of Iowa (CFI).

CFI is a statewide organization offering a wide range of services, including support for families with children and youth involved in the public child welfare or juvenile justice system, survivors of domestic violence, behavioral health services, career development, childcare and tutoring, payee services, and other health and human services.

As a Board member, Dr. Beck-Cross also serves on the Advocacy Committee. She shared, “I am honored to be a part of the Board for an organization that has such a strong reputation for providing extensive support services. Serving on the Advocacy Committee will also allow me to apply my interest in legislative policy to help support the work of Children and Families of Iowa.”

Dr. Beck-Cross’s appointment highlights her ongoing commitment to social work, advocacy, and the well-being of children and families across Iowa.
