Nursing BSN Prelicensure

Nurses represent the largest segment of the U.S. healthcare workforce. In some circumstances, nurses are the first line of contact with a health care provider, frequently spending the most time with people of diverse backgrounds seeking health care.

There is a growing need for nurses who hold BSN degrees! The U.S. population is not only increasing in size and diversity, but the aging population is also increasing. Nurses face many demands: caring for an aging population, responding to an increase in mental health conditions, conducting research, and helping to develop health care policy. To meet the needs of the U.S. population, nurses need to increase in number across care settings: public and community health, behavioral health, primary care, long-term care, geriatrics, school health, and research.

Career Outlook

As one of today's most exciting and rewarding professions, a career in nursing promises to be challenging and filled with opportunity for flexibility and autonomy. You will be a vital part of a team of health care professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to patients.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for registered nurses will grow faster than most other occupations. The median annual salary for registered nurses was $86,070 in 2023. Nurses with graduate degrees command higher salaries.

We aren't just educating nurses, we're developing health care leaders who impact the lives and health of their patients. Recent grads are working as:

  • Hospital and Clinical Nurses
  • Clinical Resource Nurses
  • Patient Care Educators
  • Acute Behavioral Health Nurses
  • Clinical Instructors
  • Nursing Professors
  • Unit Managers
  • School Nurses
