Wild Widow Poker A Play by A'ndrea J Wilson

This play was funded through the Alumni Atelier Program for Alumni Development from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Chicago, 1963. As four women gather regularly to work on their poker faces and enjoy benefits of being members of an elite, black-owned, country club, the world around them grapples with the legality of segregation. Although "Bombingham, Alabama" is over six hundred miles away, the impact of its race relations, is far reaching, forcing even affluent Northerners to ask themselves, when do you decide to do something courageous?
